On April 24, Fred and I went to Sedona for a short 2-day trip. We did a bit of hiking, although by the time we found the trail we’d already walked plenty in the hot sun on the hilly road so we didn’t spend much time on the trail. We walked into town each afternoon for dinner, and I took a Jeep tour, which was incredibly scenic, educational and great fun… and I got to walk through a vortex !
This first set of photos is from the trail and our walks into town. Tlaquepaque Village is a replica of a village in Mexico. We sat there to eat dinner on our first evening in town, amongst little shops and restaurants. Fred wore his boots for all of this walking and he was quite the conversation piece.
Sunday morning I took a Jeep tour with Safari Jeep Tours. Our driver Joe was great. Here are some photos from along the way. I took a lot more but pictures don’t really do it justice, so here’s just a taste.
You may have heard about the Vortex phenomena in Sedona. There are crystal shops and psychics all over town. I’m a complete skeptic, but our Jeep driver Joe may have convinced me. Here is his explanation of the vortex, followed by a video of my turn walking through it.
My goal for this trip was to get a taste of lots of different things around the country…. like Sedona. So far I’m batting 1000! I’m flying to California for a short visit with my dad, brother, sister-in-law and nephew, then back to Scottsdale for a few more days. Fred will be in good hands here in Scottsdale. It won’t be long now until Fred’s Big Adventure starts to heat up with 3 weeks traveling through Northern Arizona, Utah and Colorado!
Love your pictures and commentary !
I heard Sedona was a place for spas and health but did not know of the quartz and healing or the Vortex. I love it and glad I can follow your journey and escape my reality for a bit.
Love the boots Deb !
Wow! That was interesting about the Hot spot in sedona! And some really great pictures along the way 😀 What a fun trip!
