I have been trying to take a “day off” at each of our stops, usually the day before we depart the area…. a day for laundry, cleaning (sometimes), dog brushing, work email reading and deleting…. today’s that day while here in Estes Park.

Laundry is done, emails are done, all while sitting out in the sun at the campground store. The hummingbird feeders are hung here and busy being used.

Tomorrow we head out to a campground closer to Denver, where I’m anticipating the internet access to be better because I do actually have to go back to work after 2 weeks on vacation. But before that, we’re going to stop to visit Heather and Travis, and to meet Ryan. Apparently I completely missed the part where they moved back to Colorado, but I’m glad they did!

Next week I’ll get to spend an afternoon with my childhood friend Vanessa and her husband Aaron, and hope to spend a day in Boulder as well.

Signing off – the sun has gone in and it’s time for lunch and to rescue Fred from himself!
