Until arriving at the KOA in Cedar City, I’ve been lucky enough to have campsites that were relatively level. This one not so much. But I’ve never used my leveling blocks… and still hadn’t… but it was a bad experience.  I was practically rolling out of the bed in the mornings and the water was not doing a very good job staying in the shower. So I promised myself that I would not let this happen to me again. Fast forward a few days and here we are in Moab, at the KOA. The site here was probably about as level as at Cedar City so I was determined to deal with it.  One of the young men working to help park RV’s here offered to help. I actually did it myself and he came and checked back on me and we made some adjustments. End result is that I am not rolling out of the bed and the water is not flowing out of the shower.

But even more impressive to me is that I left this campsite with the RV twice… and both times I managed to get it back on the leveling blocks again! I mentioned this dilemma about closing up the RV to leave and re-connecting and all upon return. It’s kind of a pain – in order to make it a little easier I wound up not taking Fred’s crate out of its travel position, which in turn means no dinette to sit at – but at least there is generally a picnic table at the campsite.

I have a couple of ideas on how to improve this situation, but they will have to wait until I visit Long Island this summer. For now, I’m just happy to be where I am!
